1920s Ophthalmological Keratometer - ONLINE ONLY

Good ol’ fashion eye test thingy! Very cool piece of medical history – a 1920s model of keratometer (also known as a ophthalmometer), used for measuring the cornea’s curvature. A key tool for detecting astigmatism that has been part of ophthalmological testing since the mid 19th century. This model was made by the General Optical Co. of Mount Vernon, NY (who weirdly spelled it “kratometer” on the stamp). Not at all tested for functionality but very cool. Some wear throughout in line with age. Disclaimer: This piece is not available to view in-store. It is for sale online only, and by appointment at our NJ warehouse.
