Swedish 1950s Birch Stool

Timeless design! Birch legs with a walnut veneer top. Imported by Scandicrafts of Sweden in the 1950s - it is unclear whether they were manufactured with Alvar Aalto's license or separately. The wood quality and curve marks on the legs are the same as the original Model 60, but the Scandicrafts version has four flathead screws instead of three, and is 3/4" taller. Stamp on the bottom reads Made in Sweden. A perfectly compact little stool for some extra seating or to use as a plant stand! Seat/surface is 14" diameter. In good condition, has light general surface wear and some scratching that varies between stools. One stool's legs are bowed inward a bit more than others - still very sturdy, but makes it a little trickier to stack. SOLD SEPARATELY.
