Joyous and serene print of Kyrate Tuvahoema's painting of Polik-Mana. Polik-Mana is a spirit whose dancing between flowers in the springtime served to pollinate; she is a central figure to the Butterfly Dance initiation rite for girls in the Hopi tradition. Tuvahoema's series of katsina paintings from the 1930s have been widely reproduced in following decades - sadly he died of tuberculosis in 1942 at the age of 28. Print is nicely matted and framed. In good condition, light wear.
