Stunning carved teak howdah chair, also known as an elephant saddle chair. This type of chair is traditionally placed on the back of an elephant, historically used by royalty and the wealthy in South Asia for processions, hunting, and warfare. Will make one heck of an accent chair in any space! Seat height is 18 inches, arm height is 25.5 inches, and seat space for cushion measures 30 w, 21.5 d, 1.5 h. In good condition, minor surface wear throughout in line with age. There looks to be a small repaired patch on the seat. Disclaimer: This piece is not available to view in-store.
